WUN OpenEd is a WUN-UNESCO/ICDE collaboration aiming to offer open online education to mitigate the global COVID-19 impact on education. The program kicked off on 29 September 2021 with 10 webinars for potential users (teachers, students, administrators).
The third webinar will explore the current environment that provides guidance to scholars, teachers, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions in the provision of open access resources in which elements could be developed, created and borrowed to facilitate translations in other sign languages in multiple countries. The seminar will discuss ways to pool resources and ensure support beyond basic provision of translated material with the view to facilitating multi-lingual language acquisition in deaf children and youth on an international scale.
