Research to support vulnerable migrant children

The WUN research group ‘African Child and Youth Wellbeing in the Context of Migration and Displacement’ is investigating African child and youth health in the context of migration and displacement.

Geoff McMaster at The University of Alberta recently interviewed Alberta Nursing professor Bukola Salami, who serves as the principal investigator of this team that, in addition to Alberta includes WUN members The University of Auckland, The University of Sheffield, University of Cape Town, University of Ghana, University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of Rochester, and Maastricht University, along with external partners Yale University, Ahmadu Bello University, University of Ibadan and the Center for Right to Health in Nigeria, and that aims to improve the health and social outcomes of migrant and displaced African children and youths.
