We are pleased to share the second upcoming regional Symposium on Upstream Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) in Nursing Practice taking place online on Friday, 22 November 2024, at 9AM (SAST).
Hosted by the School of Nursing & Midwifery and the School of Public Health of the University of Technology Sydney in collaboration with WUN, this global event will explore the critical role nurses play in addressing upstream SDoH. This event is the second in a series of regional discussions aimed at empowering nurses to lead transformative change in healthcare systems worldwide.
There will be case study presentations from the Africa and Eastern Europe, which will explore the unique opportunities, challenges, and strategies in influencing upstream SDoH in these regions. The discussions will highlight how nurses can lead efforts to influence health outcomes through upstream interventions.
This event builds on WUN funded research conducted by the University of Alberta, the University of Auckland, the University of Leeds, Mahidol University, and the University of Technology Sydney.
