WUN Conference and AGM 2018

The next WUN Conference & AGM will be held in Perth, Australia from 20 to 25 May 2018.

Attendees can expect an exciting program accompanied by a warm Aussie welcome in the vibrant city of Perth, a nexus between Africa, Asia and Oceania that boasts sunny weather, beaches, native flora and fauna, and of course our excellent WUN member, The University of Western Australia, to whom we extend our thanks for their cooperation and support.

As usual, the event will be a multi-purpose gathering that incorporates the yearly face-to-face meetings of our Global Challenge and Governance Groups, plenary discussion sessions on strategic issues, the annual Presidents Forum as well as a range of academic workshops and forums organised by WUN’s global challenge collaborations and project teams.

Please note that the following is a draft outline that is subject to change.

Important things to note:

  • apply for your visa in advance to allow for variances in processing times
  • consider Australia’s health and character requirements, which you may have to meet as part of the visa application process
  • ensure you obtain a visa letter (see information below) to attach to your visa application
  • participants required to lodge paper-based visa applications should do so at the Australian visa office  nearest to their current country of residence.

Request your visa letter
Please contact us as soon as possible to request a visa letter.

Note – WUN might not be able to help if participants do not lodge their visa applications within recommended timeframes.

Please visit this website  for more information on visa requirements for Australia.

In the interest of the environment, hard copies of conference background documents including the conference schedule, will not be provided. Conference delegates will be provided with a link to an electronic document bank.

We strongly encourage all attendees to carefully review their relevant documents in advance of the conference and AGM to make the most of our time together.
