The WUN Annual General Meeting is the central event in the WUN calendar, drawing together colleagues from member universities for policy discussions and business meetings to further advance the Network.
AGM 2024, which will run from 22-24 May, is generously hosted by the University of Pretoria. We are returning to the African continent after 9 years, and as part of AGM 2024 several additional events are being planned to celebrate this.
The African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) will hold its annual member president meeting alongside our AGM, and we are collaborating with ARUA to organize special networking opportunities for leaders of both networks. We will provide time and space for meetings to take place between WUN and ARUA member university leaders and delegations.
The WUN Presidents Forum 2024, organised jointly with ARUA, entitled Addressing Global Research Challenges in an African Context will focus particularly on global challenges on which research in an African context can be particularly illuminating, and will highlight the research areas in which collaboration among members of an international/global network like WUN can be especially valuable.
