Upcoming Workshop: Ethical Assessment Framework for AI in Manufacturing

We are excited to extend an invitation to you to participate in our upcoming international workshop titled “Ethical Assessment Framework for AI in Manufacturing,” which will take place on June 13th in Sheffield.

Artificial Intelligence in Digital Twins for manufacturing and its integration into the workforce can lead to job displacement and ethical considerations regarding worker rights and training. With this in mind, in this workshop, we are inviting experts in AI, manufacturing, ethics and social responsibility to discuss future employability and skills development, what needs to change in the current training and engineering programmes and what it means for employers and employees. Our goal is to collaboratively develop and refine a framework that can guide ethical decision-making and implementation practices in this field.

While the detailed plan and agenda will be published closer to the date, we anticipate a productive session of presentations, discussions, group activities and site visit that will not only enhance our understanding but also contribute to actionable outcomes.

We encourage you to register early as space may be limited. Please mark your calendars and stay tuned for further details, including the official agenda and list of speakers.

To register, please register by following this link, and feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or suggestions regarding the workshop content.

The project is funded by the Worldwide Universities Network and the University of Sheffield Global Engagement.

We look forward to your participation and to engaging in meaningful discussions that shape the future of AI in our industry.
