Registration is now open for WUNSPIN10 – the third WUN International Conference on “Spintronic Materials and Technology” – which will take place at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) from June 21 to 23.
The conference follows earlier ones in York, UK in 2007, and Nanjing & Hangzhou, China in 2008 and is intended to be a forum for experts to discuss the new scientific and technological developments in the field of spintronics. It will focus in particular on spintronic applications, and the impact on technology, with topics ranging from diluted magnetic semiconductors to spintronic device simulation.
The conference will be followed by a Summer School on “Green's Function and Other Electronic-Structure Methods for Materials Property and Device Prediction” organized by the NSF-funded Materials Computation Center (MCC).
Professor Yongbing Xu, of the University of York, who leads the WUN Spintronics consortium, says,
“WUNSPIN10 will be another excellent meeting which will build on the success of the two highly successful earlier conferences. The truly international nature of this WUN collaboration is shown by the fact that this series has moved from the UK to China and now to the US.”
The deadline for registration in May 17. For more information please consult the conference website at U. Illinois.
