The World Health Organization (WHO) was founded in 1948 and plays a primary role in directing and coordinating international health within the United Nations’ system. WHO focusses on areas of health systems, promoting health through the life-course, non-communicable diseases, communicable diseases, corporate services and preparedness, surveillance and response.
WUN has joint research programs in Adolescent, Maternal and Child Health, the Non-Communicable Diseases and SDGs.
