- Date: Wednesday 17 July 2024, 12:00 – 15:00
- Location: Nexus, Discovery Way, Leeds, LS2 3AA UK
- Cost: Free
Join this seminar on Global MedTech, exploring how medical technologies can be developed to meet global needs in low-resource settings. It’s a great chance to hear about a collaborative research project between the team at Leeds and visiting colleagues from the Biomedical Research Centre at Makerere University, Uganda. The seminar will be followed by a networking lunch and further discussions exploring other research, and future opportunities, in this crucial area.
The event is part of a collaborative research project on the LeVe CPAP system for respiratory support. The team has previously conducted clinical studies with Mengo Hospital in Uganda, and are now working on commercialisation of the LeVe system so it can be produced ‘locally’ in Uganda, working closely with a team of biomedical engineers led by Dr Robert Ssekitoleko and his team from Makerere University.
Please register by 15 July through our online form. Places are limited places; please register for catering and to join the workshop.
