You are warmly invited to join the upcoming webinar in the WUN Global Mental Health Webinar Series: Bridging Research, Innovation, and Equity.

Theme: Equity in Education: Mental Health, Inclusion, and Support Across Educational Transitions
Date: Wednesday 10 June 2026. Click here for the local time for this event.
Location: Microsoft Teams. Please register here.

This webinar series seeks to work differently from traditional formats, with speakers providing a provocation to overarching tensions inherent in mental health research, followed by collaborative group discussions.

Featured Speakers:

  • Andrea Anguera (University of Leeds): Transitions between different Levels of Education
  • Christina Sotiropoulou Drosopoulou & Clare Wright (University of Leeds): Transitions to-Higher Education and within-Higher Education Levels and Programmes
Each of the presenters will draw on their research expertise to address the following framing questions:
  1. How things currently are: how do education systems identify complex learner needs during key transitions and how do they typically respond to transition-related challenges?
  2. What matters the most: What are the key factors that impact on wellbeing, belonging, and adjustment during educational transitions?
  3. What changes are needed: Based on the previously identified factors, what system-level actions are needed to support wellbeing, inclusion and successful adjustment across educational transitions?

In addition to the presentations, the session will feature:

  • Q&A Sessions with the speakers
  • Breakout room discussions to facilitate cross-institutional perspectives and networking.

Register here for the webinar. Spaces are limited, so please ensure that if you need to cancel etc, you inform the organiser: Kier Harris: mlkeh@leeds.ac.uk.
